About me
I'm Valerio Emanuele. I have built software since 2010.
I founded DigitalCraft in 2024, after more than fifteen years of projects in banking, telecommunications, healthcare, e-mobility and the European public sector. I live in Carlentini, in Sicily, and work with clients in Italy and abroad, including remotely.

My path
- I started as a developer in banking, where I became a front-end architect and trained other developers across Italy.
- I built software for electric-vehicle charging, e-commerce, online vehicle auctions and a medical platform.
- I led a development team as team leader.
- I coordinated production support for a telecommunications platform, between business and development.
- Since 2019 I have worked as a software engineer and back-end architect on European public-sector projects, abroad and remotely.
- Since 2024 I have run DigitalCraft.
Software built with care
I believe writing software is a craft to practise with care. That is why I translated the Manifesto for Software Craftsmanship into Italian, took part in a European Software Craftsmanship community and contributed to PrimeFaces, an open-source library for Java applications.
